BIO MECHANICS
Newtons Laws!
1) Inertia - an objects resistance to change. (Speed x Mass)
2) Heavier objects require more force to move the same distance as lighter objects.
3) action and reaction - every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
sub-maximal referrs to just a little hit not a big force, a little force
Maximal is the biggest force youve got.
LEVER
There are 3 types of lever's. First class lever, second class lever and third class lever. Lever's consists of;
Resistance arm - a Resistance arm is where the onject that is to be moved.
Force arm - a Force arm is the other side of the resistance arm. You push the Forcee arm to get the resistance arm to move.
Fulcum - a Fulcrum is a device that balances the force arm and the resistance arm.
A first class lever is a system where the fulcrum is directed into the middle of the resistance and force arm.
A second class lever is a lever where the force arm is longer making it easier to lift.
A third class lever is where the force arm is in the middle and the fulcrum is at the end.
FRICTION - Friction can be defined as the resistance to motion of two moving objects or surfaces that touch. Friction plays a very important role in many sports, such as bowling and curling. In tenpin, the friction resistance on the ball makes it slow down and also enables the spin on the ball to make it roll in an arc. The mass and the surface composition of the ball and the amount of oil on the lane will affect the magnitude of the friction between the bowling ball and bowling lane.
